Concrete Residence
LOCATION
Stuttgart, Germany
TYPE
Private residence
Originally built in the early 2000s, this hillside residence was reimagined by architect Doris Wolfart to bring warmth, elegance, and openness to its concrete architecture. Natural materials like seagrass wallpaper, black oak, bronze, and stone add tactile and visual depth.

At the heart of the home is the Taj Mahal stone kitchen island, complemented by design classics, bespoke furniture, and art pieces. The double-height dining area with a solid oak table, an Eduardo Chillida rug, and glass pendant lights balances the weight of the concrete with lightness.
Natural and artificial lighting shape the atmosphere, changing the character of the home throughout the day.
